To all who read our blog:
We successfully made it to Gresham on Thursday evening. Hooray! We cut our trip short by about a week because we've been having some "incidents" on the way. But, we are here safe and are taking a few days to relax and unwind before we make the 2 hour drive to Astoria to find our new home. :)
We had an eventful roadtrip. I (Anna) stayed in the ER in Shreveport, Louisiana, overnight the first night of our trip because of a hernia that decided to rear its' ugly head. God healed the hernia just in time for the surgeon to say that he didn't need to do emergency surgery after all and John and I were able to take off as planned for our second day of the journey.
Aubrey did amazingly well but we did test her boundaries for sure. She is a trooper and that ended up being just another reason we cut our roadtrip short. Little bodies in carseats for 8-12 hour days in cars is just not a very good idea, just for the record.
We were sad to not be able to see our friends in California but are glad to be at our destination for my health's sake and Aubrey's sanity's sake. :) Thank you to everyone who prayed for us on the trip. It was much needed.
