The Bubs, excited to have the 2nd of the 3 musketeers join him! (The 3rd musketeer will be Noah, eta October, 2009)
Aubs, happy to have another baby to go, "Ohhh...." to. Our summer has started out with a bang! Here is a little update for those who are still checking the blog:
Aubrey is very busy. Currently her favorite thing is to pretend she is Mary Poppins. "Mommy, I measure you...Poppins, every way..." Translation: Mary Poppins measures herself with a measuring tape and it says, "Mary Poppins. Practically perfect in every way." She will also give me spoonfuls of medicine and say, "Strawberry, mmm..." a quote from the movie.
Probably my favorite thing to watch her do, however, is to pretend to catch a bird out of a window, sing, "Spoonful of Sugar," (Aubrey's version is: "Medicine...down, medicine...down."), and then dramatically release the bird back out the window. For those who have never seen this classic Disney film, you are officially invited to our house. Showings are usually about 5 times a week.
We have also spent a lot of time away from home this month. Aubrey got to play with her friend, Blake, the son of my dear friend, Amy. Blake was a very gracious host to Aubrey and she now affectionately talks about, "Bake...Aubey's friend."
This past weekend our little family of four spent time in Ellensburg, Washington, celebrating the upcoming marriage of Geoff to Michelle. I am excited to be gaining another sister here shortly!This picture is for you, Geoff. :)
