I really want to believe the best, to hope for the best for our nation and its' newly appointed leadership. I still am, I guess, but as changes are being made I am fearing for the direction we are headed as a country. God, help us remember You, and help us fear You as GOD. And, give our leaders wisdom in how to lead the country.
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

It's Been A While
So, what has kept me busy enough to not have time to write a blog?
Well, mostly this very cute distraction:
Current favorite hobbies are dancing and singing around the house with her Cinderella doll, making cookies or brownies with mommy, helping daddy bring firewood in, and Sunday School.
But also this not very cute distraction:
We are remodeling our main bathroom...from the bottom up. No pretty pictures to show you yet but hopefully soon. We should be sheet rocking this weekend.
And, while we have been at it, we decided, "Why not add another project to our list?" Like, landscaping our front yard? Here is the progression of ugly tree being disposed of. We also took out all the plants along the bedroom windows. I'll have tulips in the spring under the front window but other than that our house looks pretty naked. We'll hopefully fix that this weekend, too.
