We've walked a bit of a hard journey for the last four years. "Hard," might be the wrong adjective to describe it. It has not been a journey that we imagined we would be on, or a journey we would have chosen on our own. But GOD is always faithful. I don't say that lightly. He is always, always faithful. And He has showered us with mercy and love these last few years. We have had the privilege of getting glimpses of His love for us here and there.
We know that things should be held lightly to, but let me say that John and I are both left speechless every morning we wake up here.
How can it get any better than this?
And this?
Who are all these people?
Oh, they're MY people!
Three men in a tub...
And then there is this:
And today, THIS:
(We just discovered that we have a trail to this amazing creek right behind our house!)
Bryant and Daddy bringing home the bacon, er, trout.
And beautiful Sis, out on a girl adventure with Nana, including Olive Garden for dinner.
To any who are travelling a wearisome path, or who have been asked to carry a load they aren't sure they can carry, God really does make beauty out of the ashes. He turns things that feel bad into dream-realities that you never thought possible. We are a testament to that. Don't stop trusting in His goodness and sovereignty.
