God's Provision

John did this all of last week:

While he was busy in eastern Oregon the kids and I had plenty to keep us busy.

Playing is a big part of what keeps these two busy. Bryant is "talking," now, meaning he says things that don't come out even close to what they are supposed to be. But it has been fun to see that Aubrey is usually the one who knows what he is trying to communicate.

We have gotten a lot of questions recently about why we would want our children close in age. This, to be honest, is my number one reason. They are such good friends. Laughing, giggling, getting into major trouble...together. I love it.

Most exciting of all (and what kept us busiest!) this week was experiencing first hand God's provision for us. We have discussed getting a new car with baby #3 coming. Our Jeep, as wonderful is it was, would be pretty tight (unsafe?) for putting three carseats into. While John was gone this 2003 Toyota Sequoia became available for us to purchase, in our price range. After doing much research it was clear that God had opened major doors for this to happen and so I purchased it. On the same day I handed the previous owner the check, the Jeep sold. Praise the Lord! We are so excited and amazed at how God provided so greatly for us.

Thankful...

John has been hunting in eastern Oregon for a week. While he has been gone Mom and Dad Petersen came over and helped me (and by that I mean did most of the manual labor) move three rooms around to prepare for baby.

Today the kids and I returned from Vancouver where Aubrey had a dentist appointment. Laundry is in the washer/dryer, kids are playing outside, my house is clean (thanks, Mom & Dad!!), and pears are getting canned. Oh, yeah, and Mom & I canned 14 pints of dilly beans (from my garden, with my dill!) while they were here as well.

What am I thankful for today?

-Pediatric dentists who make very sensitive little girls feel like they want to go to the dentist every day.
-Washers and dryers. Can you imagine doing laundry by hand?
-Gardens
-Fall days when the sun is out.
-Aubrey and Bryant.
-Baby Who who is running out of room and very strong at his/her jabs and kicks.
-The apple orchard Mom & I went to on Monday where we picked lots of apples and took home a box of pears to can.
-Dirt. And bathtubs.

Okay, I'm off to finish my canning before Awana tonight. My heart is just so full I had to write down my "thanks." I like to remember these days.
