Bryant Nathanael Patrick...

Happy birthday, little man. One year ago today we said hello to our good-natured, funny, strong-willed little guy for the first time.

It was a moment I won't ever forget when you came and Daddy announced, "It's Bryant Nathanael!" We were so thrilled to meet you, Bubs, and it has been such a great ride so far. I have a feeling you will be keeping me on my toes in the coming years. You have a pretty big personality already.

I don't want to forget the monster hugs you already give, the open-mouthed wet kisses, or when you are just doing mommy a favor, the nod in my direction so I can kiss you. You have the warrior spirit in you mixed with a healthy dose of little horns. We love you. Just thinking about you makes Daddy & I laugh out of joy.

We pray that you will become a man who fights for what is honorable, who is courageous in life for the right causes, and who is tender toward God and those you come in contact with. (which probably means the full on face slapping you are doing to Sissy right now needs to stop.)

Happy 1st birthday, Bryant. You are a joy.

Johnny, I am so thankful that God gave me such a good man to love. You work so hard to do what is right, to love that which is noble. It is a rare thing indeed to live with a man who is courageous enough to go after his dreams and strong enough to stick with it once that dream has been reached. I love you for that. I respect the man that you are. I am proud to stand beside you. Happy birthday, husband of mine. Forever and for always I am yours.

We got a new computer recently and I have just now found the time to download pictures onto it...here are some fun ones of the last couple of weeks.

We've had fun playing outside when it is nice out. Spring is coming to the Oregon coast!

You're 3 years old today!

The day we had you remains one of the brightest, most exciting days of my life, as I'm sure it will remain for my lifetime.

Has it been three years already? At times it seems like it's only been moments and at others it seems you have been a part of our lives forever. What did we do before we had our Aubrey girl around?

You are a little girl with a big heart for the world and the things you see in it. You have a flair for the dramatic which is endearing and sometimes challenging. :) All things are worthy of attention in your book and you won't hesitate to announce, "Oh, Mommy, you must come see this!" when there is a daffodil in the front yard, or, "Mommy, shall we play a game?" or, "I am so very sorry, I didn't realize you were standing there when I bumped into you," in your most sophisticated princess tone.

I love listening to you sing, "Jesus Loves Me," or, "Jesus Loves the Little Children," or, "I Love You, Lord," and, sweet girl, you have a beautiful voice that I know reaches right up to Jesus' heart and brings a smile to His face as He listens to you, too.

You are such a big personality inside that little body of yours. God has wonderful plans for you, punkin, and He has knit you uniquely together to fulfill those plans.

I am priveleged beyond words to be your mommy. My heart is so full of joy just because I get to call you mine for a while. As one of your favorite books reads, "I love all that you will be and everything you are." I pray you will understand what it means to trust Jesus with your heart, that you would fall deeply in love with Him, and that your life would bring honor to Him.
