Dutch, our 4 week old chocolate lab puppy that we get to pick up in a couple of months. (This isn't actually her, just a picture of what she looks like.)

We are excited, blessed, and yes, crazy.
Wow! It's almost been a month since I updated last. So what have we been up to?
LIFE! Just living life.
John: Staying busy at work as usual but really enjoying the challenge. Also, he is preparing to go on a missions trip to Switzerland this summer! This will be the first time he has had this kind of opportunity and we are both excited for it.
Me: Staying busy at work as well. :) Every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sometimes I feel like I am living in a mad house; at least it's a really cute one, though.
Kids: Staying busy growing up and growing in their friendship with each other. Today we made donuts (I am reading a lot of blogs on healthier living...you inspire me but obviously not enough yet!) and the kids sat out on the back deck watching the hens run around the yard looking for bugs. They sat together eating their donut and laughing with each other about I'm not sure what. But it was fun. It didn't hurt that the sun was out today, either.
Hens: Getting close to laying their first eggs (I think!). They are maturing very quickly it seems and have adjusted so well to life here. I've received a lot of questions from people on what my thoughts are on raising hens. I love it! They are a pet like anything else where we can't just leave town without making sure they are taken care of, but besides that they are the easiest pet I have ever owned. And BONUS, we will soon be eating our very own eggs! Woohoo!
