Blissful Sleep Deprivation?

...is that an oxymoron? I am so completely happy in my new role as mommy of two and completely exhausted, all at the same time. So, I guess that term fits.
Aubrey, Bryant and I had a really fun weekend up in Gresham this weekend while John had a not so fun weekend working. Waiting for the train at the zoo with Great Papa. "Choo-Choo Train!" with Mommy. She was so excited she was stomping her feet and squealing. She didn't know what else to do. Getting tired and therefore getting a little less inhibited in showing off her dance moves. Wish you could have seen the whole thing.Bryant and I went to Emily's baby shower where Bryant met his best friend for the first time, Ezra. They are about 3 weeks apart. (Emily and I were introduced in the church nursery when we were babies and have been good friends ever since. So, we've decided that whether they like each other or not, Bryant and Ezra will be best friends.) Don't the boys look excited?Just hanging out with Great Papa.

I think this might be my favorite picture of all time. Daddy and his kids, all in their Carhartts, ready to work in the garden. :)

Pictures, Pictures

This is what John was doing at work today. That's a rescue swimmer being hoisted up from a cliff.
Aubrey, Bryant and I got to watch Daddy in action. It was a training flight so we just sat and enjoyed the show. Bryant was so excited he fell asleep and stayed that way for the full two hours. Aubrey got to wear ear plugs, which I think pretty much made her day, on top of waving and screaming, "Hi, Daddy!"
And, I got butterflies watching my hero do his thing. God has blessed me with a pretty amazing guy. I'm proud of what he does but most of my pride swells when I think about who he is. Thank you, Lord, for giving me my three wonderful gifts.
Next are some comparison pics of Bryant vs. Aubrey at the same age. They definitely look like siblings. Aubrey has John's eyes but beyond that she pretty much is a replica of me. Bryant is pretty much an exact replica of John...I have little to nothing to do with his good looks. :)
My cute little man at 1 month old. Sweet baby girl at 1 month old.

And, this picture cracks me up. This is our sweet little girl at 2 years old, in the pose she holds most of the time...mouth open, talking about what she sees and experiences all around her.

Busy April

What a busy month! Fun, but busy. John and I celebrated 4 years of marriage on April 3rd by trying to win "lottery" tickets to the play, Wicked. Our names did not get pulled out of the hat but we still enjoyed dinner and dessert out, just the two of us.
This last weekend, Easter weekend, we spent in Minnesota at a wedding of a friend. Aubrey girl stayed with Nana & Papa, hence no pictures of her, but we had a lot of fun. Now we are trying to get into a semi-routine here at home and I am trying to get back to feeling somewhat normal. Bryant and Mommy ready to meet Daddy at the church. (He was in the wedding party.)
The only picture of the three of us that was taken.
Handsome husband.
Bemidji, Minnesota, "home" of Paul Bunyan and his big ox, Babe. We held Paul Bunyan's hand.
And John filled in as the nose ring for Babe.
Then it was off on our three hour trek back to Fargo, North Dakota, with Blake & Stephanie, to fly out early. I didn't take any pictures of Blake & Steph....bummer.
We had a lot of fun and look forward to our next adventure...a Mariner's game next weekend!
