Sweet Baby

Sweet baby in my arms.
Sleepy eyes, chubby fingers...
Who will you become?

So proud to hold a cup.
So quick to give a smile.
Who will you become?

Lullabies are softly sung,
Snuggles now but not for long...
Who will you become?

Sweet baby in my arms...
I promise not to hold too tight
To give you freedom to become
Everything God wants for you.

But tonight you are:

Sweet baby in my arms.
Sleepy eyes, chubby fingers,
proud to hold a cup, quick to give a smile.
Lullabies are softly sung
Snuggles now, but not for long.

Who will you become?

Thank you, Lord, for the reminder today of what a brief time I have with my Aubrey and Bryant. Help me to drop my projects joyfully in order to touch my children while they are here with me.

Anna, you've touched my heart. You know the ultimate goal and are diligent in keeping the eternal in front of you. I am so proud to call you our daughter, wife of John, mother of precious Aubrey and Bryant.
