Today I:
-Snuggled the three kids in bed.
-Did three loads of laundry.
-Made ciabatta rolls for dinner tonight.
-Cleaned the kitchen.
-Fed the kids breakfast.
-Organized/sorted baby clothes.
-Built a train station/city with Bryant out of legos and little people.
-Did school with Aubrey. Okay, not full on school, but we did do letters. That sort of counts, right?
-Cleaned the kitchen...again.
-Did two more loads of laundry.
-Fed the kids lunch.
-Put the kids down for a nap.
-Started a fire. Yay, me! John will be thrilled when he gets home tonight. Sidenote: I am so thankful for my husband who puts the wood right outside the back door for me to get to easily. Even when it is blowing like a banchee and raining sideways.
-Made dessert bars for dinner tonight with the kids. That was a sight to see. Aubrey can definitely help at this stage. Bryant can climb onto counters, put his finger in the butter, and taste the brown sugar. And stir. Stuart hung out with me in the ergo carrier. Does that count as a work-out?
-Put ingredients away. Did not clean kitchen again.
-Practiced rolling with Stuart. I wasn't practicing rolling, he was. But I helped.
Yes, we are a classy bunch.(at the tulip festival)
Johnny and a great big tractor tire. Someday maybe he can drive one of these.
I couldn't choose between the next two. She is so dear to me.
Shot taken by Aubrey. Pretty good, eh? This was supposed to be a couples shot but our third wheel would not let Daddy put him down. :)
Sigh. These are the moments that make all feel right in the world.
HA.
I didn't do enough cuddling, squeezing, kissing, hugging today. But I did a little.
Someday when I look back on my day hopefully instead of feeling a bit insignificant and like I wasted most of the day I can see that this is what I'm paid to do. :) I'm thankful for a husband who sees the value in what I do, even when I can't every time. I'm thankful for my kids and the joy and laughter we get to have together when I'm doing things right.
The littlest dude spending some much coveted time with Daddy. Stuart is nuts about his Dad.
Dutch wasn't jealous at all.
I mean really. Really. He can't be any cuter.

You are doing a lot of things right! We are so blessed to have husbands who value us being home. I have to say, the picture of Aubrey crouching down with the tulips is my favorite--there's something about little girls! She is beautiful, just like her mama. :) I might want your recipe for ciabatta rolls...
